Concept |
Prohibition is an upscale restaurant/bar where one
can come with a date and have an intimate dinner
or a bottle of wine, or with friends just to hang
out and listen to live music. Live
music
is featured nightly at Prohibition but is meant to be complimentary to the environment. We do not consider ourselves a music club—but rather a restaurant with live music. A lively bar crowd can be found most nights, as well as those sampling our
menu
or playing pool in the Back Lounge.

Design |
 |
The decor is based on the Prohibition-Era style of the twenties and early thirties. The design is intended to invoke the glamour and romance of that period, while maintaining an edge that is modern. Prohibition was designed by Jane Millet of The Millet Group and was her first restaurant design. She has gone on to design many other restaurants and clubs in New York City.

Food |
Prohibition is intended to accommodate both the serious diner and the casual sampler. We have introduced a
menu
that is eclectic, sophisticated, and delicious. Our
menu
is intended to offer a full, several course dinner or a light snack to the diner or drinker.
